ExWHUemployee: Maxwel Cornet and Kurt Zouma fully fit to return for Premier League clash v Arsenal

Maxwel Cornet and Kurt Zouma are set to be fully fit for West Ham United’s Premier League clash with Arsenal, according to ExWHUemployee.

Cornet suffered a fresh setback in October after returning to training but is now finally set to return to action when the Premier League restarts at the end of December.

Ex confirmed Zouma will also give David Moyes an injury boost with the Hammers looking to get their season back on track against the league leaders.

“Yes, both Zouma and Cornet are both in line to be fully fit on Boxing Day,” he said (West Ham Way, 24 November).

Cornet in particular will be like a new signing for Moyes, with the Ivorian’s career at the London Stadium struggling to get going since his summer arrival from Burnley. He’s previously shown he is more than capable of performing at Premier League level, and he could provide Moyes with some much-needed variety in attack.

The 26-year-old can play as a winger, full-back or striker, and this could allow Moyes to change formation and tactics more regularly. Potentially utilising him as a striker alongside Gianluca Scamacca could be an effective ploy by the West Ham boss, with the Italian striker struggling for form since his arrival from Sassuolo.

Moyes will be hoping this is the last of Cornet’s injury problems. Moyes desperately needs his summer signings to find some form when their campaign gets back underway.

The Scot looks set to stay in charge at the moment, but it is potentially a couple of bad results away from being back in the firing line at the London Stadium.
