Edson Alvarez calls Mohammed Kudus ‘crazy’ after what West Ham United ace did v Freiburg
Edson Alvarez has labelled Mohammed Kudus “crazy” after his stunning solo goal as West Ham United beat Freiburg 5-0 on Thursday night.
The Hammers overturned a 1-0 deficit from the first-leg to progress to the Europa League quarter-finals, with Ghana star Kudus turning in a man-of-the-match performance with two goals including a sensational run from his own half for his first.
And after Kudus posted on Instagram after the game (15 March), midfielder Alvarez took to his comments section to call him crazy alongside a mind-blown emoji and a heart on fire.
West Ham United have a superstar
The Hammers were quick to identify Kudus as a transfer target in the summer after the Ghana international shone at the World Cup and with Ajax last season.
There were several interested parties but West Ham made sure they got a deal sealed quickly with Tim Steidten working his magic, and a fee was agreed quickly to see off the competition.
After an initially slow start to life in east London with David Moyes allowing him time to adapt, Kudus is now first-choice in the forward line and as important as the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen.

His performances this season have shown that the club can be shrewd in the transfer market and find a way to be competitive at the top level, with individual quality enough to win big games too.
With doubts about the future of Paqueta amid interest from Manchester City, the club have already got their replacement as the main man in midfield right under their noses.
