Ange Postecoglou receives public praise from Karren Brady amid West Ham United links

Karren Brady has publically praised Ange Postecoglou after the Celtic manager was mooted to replace David Moyes at West Ham United.

The Daily Mail reported (18 April) that Moyes is “increasingly likely” to depart the London Stadium regardless of the Hammers’ league status.

Express Sport (8 November) mooted the Hoops boss as a potential replacement for David Moyes at the London Stadium.

Writing in her latest column for The Sun (5 May) Brady has suggested we should “raise a glass” for the Celtic boss with the Bhoys closing in on a famous treble.

The West Ham chief also claimed that Postecoglou would be able to make an impact south of the border if and when he does depart the Scottish giants.

Could this well be a clue on West Ham’s next move? With Moyes’ future up in the air, a new boss could well be in the London Stadium dugout come the start of the 2023/24 season. Inconsistency has plagued the Hammers this year and the board’s patience could well be wearing thin.

Considering the money thrashed out during the 2022 summer transfer window, West Ham should be occupying a far healthier league position. Postecoglou’s reputation continues to grow. The big Aussie has transformed the Hoops in recent years with some excellent recruitment.

His innovative and expansive style of play would also go down well at the London Stadium. For far too long West Ham have been subjected to defensive-minded football. It’s brought success in the past, but a change wouldn’t be the worst thing.

All eyes will firmly be on the board come the end of the season. They certainly have a huge decision to make.
