Ally McCoist: West Ham can qualify for Champions League this season
Ally McCoist has insisted that West Ham United can finish in the Premier League top four this season.
The Irons are in brilliant form at this moment in time and continued that with a huge 4-1 win at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
McCoist went on to claim David Moyes’ men are the second-best team in London behind Chelsea, something that Jamie O’Hara agreed with.

Speaking on talkSPORT, McCoist started the debate by insisting that they could definitely finish in the top four.
“Why not?” he said. “Honest to god.
“They look to me, they are clearly the second-best team in London.”
O’Hara responded, and somewhat surprisingly actually backed the Irons in this heated debate that keeps being brought up.
“they could get fourth, they’re sitting in fourth now.
“After 10 games, the table starts to take shape. They are better than Tottenham by a million miles at the minute, and I think they’re better than Arsenal.”
Bring it on.
Moyes has made it clear this season that the goal is to maintain our spot in the Europa League, and that is smart.
There is no need to add more pressure on to the squad and force them to push towards the Champions League and push them too hard.
Sitting in fourth right now is perfect, the squad is once again performing above expectation and that is seeing them thrive.
Should this continue though, we can’t throw it away.
Last season, the Hammers spent much of the campaign in-and-around the top four, but threw it away in the final month – we have to avoid that happening again.
We are loving life right now, and there won’t be many happier fan bases than the Irons right now, long may it continue.
