West Ham vs Aston Villa: Match preview, weather forecast and all you need to know

West Ham are set to play host to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

Villa will travel to face West Ham at the London Stadium with the away side keen to make it nine wins from a possible nine in all competitions.

Unai Emery is preparing his side to face off against Nuno Espirito Santo just a week after West Ham fell to a late draw against Brighton last time around.

The Hammers will be hopeful of bouncing back with victory in East London as West Ham host Villa for the first time since August 2024.

Ahead of that contest between the two claret and blue outfits, West Ham Zone rounds up all you need to know.

Match preview

Jarrod Bowen scored for West Ham against Brighton and will have been disappointed not to see out the result to earn three points at the Amex.

A controversial late Georginio Rutter strike was enough for the hosts to level proceedings, despite a handball in the build-up.

Nuno will have to move on quickly, but things certainly won’t be easy up against a side who have won eight on the spin.

Villa beat Basel 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday, just days after their dramatic victory over league leaders Arsenal.

Emery won’t want his winning run to come to an end anytime soon, especially not against the Irons, given their struggles this campaign.

Travel information for London Stadium vs Aston Villa

There are planned disruptions on the Northern and Waterloo and City lines on top of issues with the Elizabeth line, the Docklands Light Railway and the Suffragette and Windrush lines on the Overground.
