West Ham player ruled out of clash v Norwich with COVID-19 - ExWHUemployee
West Ham will be without an unnamed player to take on Norwich on Wednesday night due to a positive COVID-19 test, according to ExWHUemployee.
Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page, the reliable Hammers insider reports that Kurt Zouma will also miss the match as it comes too soon for the recovering defender.
However, in a more positive update, Aaron Cresswell is back in the squad while Vladimir Coufal also returns.
ExWHUemployee said: “Coufal should be back to compete with Fredericks for the right-back spot following a bout of COVID.
“Aaron Cresswell is in the squad for this game and could even start this match but it comes too soon for Zouma who is out with Covid/recovery from injury.
“Unfortunately, one additional player has been diagnosed with Covid and we will confirm who this is when the team is announced.”

Good and bad news
We’re worried about who it could be that’s tested positive for COVID as it means they may also be ruled out of the game against Leeds this weekend.
David Moyes’ squad isn’t exactly padded out as well as we would like and no one has been brought in so far this month.
If it’s Michail Antonio, then we’re going to worry but either way, Moyes has a team of players that is strong enough to beat this Norwich side – even if he played the Under-23s.
Norwich have been woeful this season and sit bottom of the Premier League table for a reason.
It’s a shock they’ve managed to win two matches and while we don’t want to act overly confident, we would be furious if Moyes’ side was to lose this game, especially with players like Coufal and Cresswell returning from their spells on the sidelines.
It’s great that Zouma is nearing a comeback and it would have been nice for him to be available against Norwich.
But we’re still optimistic about our chances.
