Lewis Jones predicts West Ham scoreline v Newcastle
West Ham have been tipped to lose 2-1 to Newcastle in their opening Premier League game of the season on Sunday.
Lewis Jones, who is a betting expert on Sky Sports, offers his tips and predictions before every gameweek.
He has gone on to predict a home victory for Newcastle despite the Hammers’ scintillating pre-season form.

In his Sky Sports column, he wrote, “For a club (Newcastle) that have not taken 45 points over a course of the season for seven years, chances of unrest look high especially if Steve Bruce slips back to his negative ways.
“That may take a few months to kick in, though, and with Allan Saint-Maximin in their side, they can threaten any team in the Premier League, especially one like West Ham who are a tad short of pace through the middle of their defence.”
Have to win
Despite them doing the double over us last season, there are no excuses for us not getting the job done over them on Sunday.
We’ve had a good pre-season, kept hold of Declan Rice and the likes of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals look like they’re ready to have a prolific campaign for us.
While no striker or centre-back have arrived thus far, we still think that the squad has enough in it to get the job done over Newcastle.

Steve Bruce’s men are tipped to fight a battle against relegation while we’re expected to finish in the top half yet again.
If we are to challenge for the European spots this time as well then we must be winning these sort of games and we’re backing the Hammers to pick up maximum points from this one.
