West Ham want to sign Montpellier striker Andy Delort
West Ham have been keeping an eye on Montpellier forward Andy Delort, according to ExWHUemployee.
The 29-year-old has been on the Hammers’ radar for a while, and is Said Benrahma’s teammate with the Algeria national side.
The Hammers insider believes the former Brentford attacker could help bring Delort to the London Stadium and ensure he settles in the capital without any bother.
On his Patreon page, he wrote, “Andy Delort of Montpellier is a forward I’ve mentioned before and one I know we have kept an eye on.
“Whilst the forward turns 30 in October he is still said to have a number of attributes which would make him an ideal competitor for a forward spot in our system.”
“He is an Algeria team mate of Benrahma too which could help him move or settle at the club but also holds a French passport so I think he should get the move approved.”

Age only concern
We’ve mainly been linked with strikers in their early or mid-20s as David Moyes is looking to build a side for the future.
Should we sign a 29-year-old, there’s a good chance that he needs replacing within a few years and we’re back in the race for signing another striker.
Delort’s quality is unquestioned as he bagged 19 goals and 10 assists in 34 games in all competitions last season – which is nearly a goal involvement in every game.
At 5ft 10in, he may not be the tallest of centre-forwards but he’s got a jump on him and is a physical specimen who can shrug off defenders and get his teammates into the game.
His movement inside the box is also pretty amazing which has led to him scoring goals for fun in the various French competitions.
If we’re unable to sign someone younger in our price range then signing the Montpellier forward would not be the worst thing in the world.
Benrahma’s presence at the club may help smoothen personal terms and all that will then be needed is for the two sides to agree on a transfer fee.
