Jarrod Bowen sends Eintracht Frankfurt & West Ham doubters big warning

Jarrod Bowen has sent Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham doubters a stark warning ahead of tonight’s [May 5] Europa League semi-final.

David Moyes’ side is tasked with overturning the 2-1 deficit suffered in the first leg in Germany tonight.

The Hammers can take much confidence from their Europa League campaign thus far, having won their last two return leg clashes with their backs up against the wall.

Bowen told Evening Standard: “We were tipped for relegation, then off the back of finishing in the Europa League places we’ve been doing unreal again this season.

“To be here, where we are — we had a tough group and then knocked out Sevilla, who have won the competition more times than anyone. Then Lyon as well, we went there and scored three goals and won comfortably. We have probably been written off and we just keep responding with good performances and good results, and that’s what we can do.”

Go time.

West Ham need to play a perfect game tonight. They were very good in the London Stadium showdown but lacked that killer edge that Frankfurt certainly had.

The Irons dominated possession and would have been very disappointed not to come away with more from the game but there were a lot of positives and learning opportunities ahead of tonight’s clash.

Given that the Hammers have had to come back against Sevilla and had to pick themselves up against Lyon and win in the emphatic style they did will give them huge confidence in terms of reaching the final.

All they have to do is put in a performance as they did in the first leg but be more ruthless in both boxes because that was where the game was lost.

Moyes has his best team at his disposal and the players will be fired up, to say the least going into their biggest game in claret & blue – only one game stands between them and the final.

In other West Ham news, a BBC pundit has urged West Ham to sign a £40million rated Chelsea wantaway, saying he would be a “great fit”.
