West Ham transfers: Cesare Casadei set for ‘crucial’ meeting as Hammers lurk
West Ham United are keeping tabs on Cesare Casadei as his agent prepares for crucial talks with Torino over his future.
That is according to Tuttomercatoweb, who state that the 23-year-old has shown his quality at the Italian team but only in flashes.
The 6ft 4in player swapped Chelsea for Torino in February 2025 for just over £11million but there is a chance he could return to the Premier League soon.
Cesare has five goals in 28 appearances for the Serie A outfit this season but he has struggled for game time in 2026.
West Ham are said to have scouted midfielder Cesare this season and now reports suggest Torino are considering letting go of the youngster.

Torino eye small profit on Cesare Casadei
Tuttomercatoweb states that Casedei’s adventure at Torino could come to and end this summer, despite his deal running until 2029.
Following January transfer interest, Torino are considering accepting an offer in the region of £13million to £15m for him at the end of this season.
| Cesare Casadei’s career in numbers | Statistics |
| Torino (2024-present) | 43 games, six goals, one assist |
| Chelsea (2023-25) | 17 games, 0 goals and assists |
| Leicester City (2023-24) | 25 games, three goals and two assists |
| Reading (2022-23) | 15 games, one goal |
Monaco and Sporting Lisbon have been credited with interest in Casadei, as has Premier League sides Everton and West Ham.
The report adds that Torino figureheads and the player’s agent, Francesco Facchinetti, are set for “crucial” talks in the not-so-distant future.
Another thing to consider for Torino is that Chelsea reportedly have a sell-on clause that will allow them to pocket 27.5 per cent of his next transfer.

Ergo, they will want to get as much money as they can, else they may make a loss on their 2025 purchase.
Torino boss Roberto D’Aversa is said to be an admirer of Casadei, who has been their top scorer this year, but perhaps not enough to demand that he stays.
They sit 14th in Serie A, nine points above the relegation zone. With just nine games to go, it seems Casadei is running out of time to convince the Italian team to keep him there.
West Ham’s plight and financial troubles could hurt Casadei move
West Ham have enjoyed an uptick in form in the past two months, with the Hammers’ seven-point gap to safety in early January now down to goal difference.
However, they are still in the bottom three with eight matches to go and face a tricky test away at fourth-placed Aston Villa on Sunday.
Even if the Hammers pull off a remarkable Premier League survival, they will have to sell some of their biggest assets to stay afloat.

Indeed, in late February, West Ham admitted they will need to sell players even if they stave off relegation to the Championship.
That is because they posted losses for the 2024-25 financial year of £104.2m, a dramatic change from the £57.2m profit they recorded in 2023-24.
Casadei will snub a West Ham move if they get relegated and even if they don’t, there will be more attractive proposals out there. However, his more modest fee could tempt the Hammers to make a move, only after exits are confirmed.
