West Ham given Souffian El Karouani incentive as Man United eye El Hadji Malick Diouf deal
West Ham United defender El Hadji Malick Diouf has been linked with a move to Man United.
Securing their spot in the Premier League for next season remains the priority, though work will already be underway behind the scenes at the London Stadium ahead of the summer transfer window.
And that works both ways, with the Hammers in need of some fresh quality, while also ensuring that they retain the services of their players.
Jarrod Bowen has been heavily mooted for an exit, as have several other West Ham stars who could eb the difference between survival and relegation.
But Diouf is the latest to be linked with a departure, with Man United said to be keen on making a move.

El Hadji Malick Diouf exit would force West Ham’s hand
According to a report from talkSPORT, Man United are interested in signing Diouf after his season with the Hammers in the Premier League.
The left-back has five assists for the Irons this season, showcasing the role he has to play in transition under Nuno Espirito Santo.
| Premier League | Diouf |
| Games | 28 |
| Assists | 5 |
| Successful crosses | 22 |
| Duels won | 119 |
| Defensive contributions | 186 |
His exit in itself will not be wanted, but it could force West Ham into making a move for Souffian El Karouani, who has already been linked with a move to the London Stadium.
Reports in March stated that he had agreed a move to Al Qadsiah, but with a deal yet to be confirmed, the Hammers may still have the chance.

El Karouani has managed a remarkable 16 assists and three goals for Utrecht this season across all competitions, including six in the Europa League.
Given his attacking style of play, he would be the perfect replacement for Diouf if he were to move on this summer.
West Ham could profit from Diouf exit
Both physically and metaphorically.
The Hammers would certainly make a profit on the £22million+ that they paid to sign Diouf, but with El Karouani out of contract this summer, they could replace him for free.
And there would be a case to make that it would be an upgrade based on the seasons they have had at their respective clubs.
Deals like those are the ones that will help West Ham grow in the direction that they want to, and it may be one worth investing in.
