Niclas Fullkrug replacement already lined up as £4.3m update emerges at West Ham

AC Milan aren’t expected to permanently sign Niclas Fullkrug from West Ham United in the upcoming transfer window.

The German striker joined the Rossoneri on loan from the Hammers in the winter transfer window with a £4.3million option to buy included in the deal.

In 12 Serie A appearances, the 33-year-old has scored one goal, and it doesn’t look like the Italian club have any intention of keeping him beyond this season.

Fullkrug will return to London Stadium as things stand, with Milan already making plans for a future without him.

Moise Keane to replace Niclas Fullkrug at AC Milan

Fiorentina striker Mise Keane has been identified as an option by Milan to replace Fullkrug, according to Calcimercato.

The news outlet reports on 13 March that the German centre-forward is expected to make way for the 26-year-old attacker at San Siro.

It’s been claimed that while the Rosseneri have been impressed by the veteran striker’s willingness to play through fitness issues, they will part ways with him in the summer.

The situation at the Hammers is uncertain at the moment, with Nuno Espirito Santo focused on avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

Fullkrug will have two years remaining on his contract at London Stadium if he returns at the end of the season and he surely wouldn’t want to play in the Championship.

Even if Nuno can secure the Irons’ top-flight status, it wouldn’t make sense to keep the former Borussia Dortmund goalscorer, who has been unreliable in recent seasons due to persistent injuries.

West Ham United already make striker plans for next season

If West Ham do go down to the Championship, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Taty Castellanos.

The Argentina international would surely give the Hammers the best chance of coming back up to the Premier League.

Callum Wilson has extended his contract at London Stadium and it seems he’ll be at the Irons regardless of which division they play in.

Pablo also looks like a long-term acquisition for the East London outfit, who shouldn’t be too concerned about their striking options next season.
