Mojmir Chytil: West Ham should rekindle interest in 14-goal star – he’s taken step toward a move
Mojmir Chytil enjoyed a strong 2025-26 season for Slavia Prague, which should put his name back on West Ham United‘s transfer shortlist this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo is set to see a host of his top forward players leave the London Stadium this summer.
Keeping hold of Taty Castellanos looks to be a tall order, with his possible departure leaving just Callum Wilson and Pablo as his two recognised striker options.
That may not be enough firepower to ensure West Ham come straight back to the Premier League next season, and so some shrewd business will need to be done in the coming weeks to sharpen their cutting edge.
Another centre-forward is bound to be on West Ham’s transfer to-do list this summer, and that should have them circling back to Slavia Prague star, Chytil.

How did Mojmir Chytil fare for Slavia Prague in 2025-26?
Ahead of last season’s winter transfer window opening, Chytil was linked with a move to West Ham.
The 27-year-old has been with Slavia Prague since the summer of 2023, where he joined from fellow Czech side Sigma Olomouc.

Since then, he’s established himself as a regular Czech international, and has been named in their 26-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in North America.
As such, West Ham transfer chiefs may be ordering some scouting missions to watch the big striker in action at the tournament.
His numbers from the 2025-26 season with Slavia Prague paint a clear picture of just how talented a player he is, and what traits he would bring to West Ham’s squad if they were to make a move for him.
Chytil scored 13 goals and provided one assist in 29 1.Liga games last term, whilst also netting once in the Czech Cup respectively, taking his total goals tally in all competitions to 14 last year.

Per FotMob, no striker in the Czech top flight registered more shots on target (1.74) and more touches in the opposition box per 90 (8.40) than Chytil last season.
Meanwhile, he averaged 0.78 goals, took 3.90 shots, created 1.68 chances and completed 0.78 dribbles per 90 in 2025-26, as well as winning 15 possessions in the final third.
Chytil received zero cards of any colour in league football last term, scored three penalties, put 17 headed shots on goal and won 95 duels respectively.
He’s only contracted with Slavia Prague until the summer of 2027 too, meaning the Czech outfit will know that this summer presents perhaps their final big opportunity to cash in on their number 13.
Chytil could be gearing up for summer transfer in fresh twist
At 27 and firmly in the prime of his career, Chytil may now be ready to test himself outside of Czech football.
Having netted 47 times in 126 games for Slavia Prague, he’s certainly proven himself to be a quality marksman in his home country, but a new development suggests he might just be preparing for a transfer exit this summer.
Indeed, as Chytil has just signed with a new football agency, moving over to First Touch Football Agency.
Posting via their Instagram account, First Touch said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to guide you (Chytil) through the next chapters of your career. Let’s get to work, Mojma!”
That certainly sounds as though they’re expecting to have some business to attend to with Chytil in the near future, so we could well see the Czech on the move this summer.
West Ham will surely have been alerted to this development, and so it will be interesting to see if he’s a player that is indeed on their transfer radar or not over the coming weeks.
The Hammers have a good relationship with Slavia Prague too, having previously signed Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal and El Hadji Malick Diouf from them respectively.
