Jean-Clair Todibo is reportedly set to push for an exit from West Ham United.

Everyone is well aware of the repercussions that would coincide with West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League, and they may only be hours away.

If Tottenham get a win away to Chelsea, the Hammers will officially be relegated before they’ve even had the chance to play the final game of the season.

However, even if Tottenham simply avoid defeat, the Hammers’ fate is written on the wall, given the massive goal difference between the two sides.

Several players will be expected to move on from the London Stadium if that is to be the case, and reports suggest that Todibo will be one of them.

Ezra Mayers could finally get West Ham chance

Mayers has already made 10 senior appearances for the Irons, though his last Premier League appearance was at the end of February.

Because of the immediate risk of relegation, Nuno Espirito Santo has opted against throwing him into the deep end, but his chance may be set to arrive.

That is because Todibo is set to push for an exit from West Ham if they suffer relegation, which is looking increasingly likely ahead of the final week of Premier League action.

Mayers has generally impressed when he has been given the chance for the Irons, and a season in the Championship could be what he needs to stake a claim for his future here long-term.

West Ham must show pathway to youth

If Championship football isnt enough to provide a chance to their youth stars, then nothing ever will be.

The senior members of the squad have let West Ham down massively this season, and had they been given a chance, it may well have been a different story.

Whether it’s Nuno in charge or not next season, they simply have to be blooded into the first team, and Mayers will be towards the top of that list.

The young defender will have two years left on his contract at the end of the season, demonstrating how crucial the next 12 months could be.
