Jarrod Bowen: No one will want summer exit, but West Ham would benefit
Jarrod Bowen has been linked relentlessly with a move away from West Ham United this summer.
Had it not been for Bowen, West Ham would likely already be a Championship side, never mind in the battle to avoid it.
His goals over the last few years have proved crucial, and while Crysencio Summerville has taken some of the limelight in the current campaign, the Englishman has still so often been the difference.
But with Bowen linked with an exit from West Ham, fans will fear for the worst, but the worst could actually prove to be the best.

West Ham could benefit from Jarrod Bowen sale
This is not to say that the Hammers should look to offload Bowen as soon as the summer transfer window is open, because, quite frankly, they shouldn’t.
However, if a reasonable offer were to be made for Bowen, amid links to Liverpool, then it should be a genuine consideration to cash in on him.
| Premier League | Bowen |
| Goals/assists | 14 |
| Chances created | 32 |
| Big chances created | 9 |
| Dribbles completed | 46 |
| Duels won | 158 |
Bowen turns 30 later this year, and while he will still have four years left on his deal at the London Stadium, his value will decrease.
In fact, this summer may be the last chance that the Irons have to get a big fee for his exit, which would aid their hopes to strengthen the rest of the squad.
The overreliance on him has been blinding, and if the money from his exit can bring two or three players through the door to carry the load, then it may be a sacrifice worth taking.
Hammers have their number one indispensable, and it’s not Bowen
If West Ham were to fight hell for leather to keep one player this summer, it should be Summerville, no pun intended.
Not only does he have age on his side, but the Dutchman has hit new heights in the Premier League this season, and that will only grow into the new campaign.
He’s the one player that West Ham should be doing everything to keep, and, in all honesty, building the rest of the team around if they are successful in their attempts to avoid relegation.
