Crysencio Summerville exit update emerges on back of cruel West Ham injury blow
Napoli are reportedly “convinced” that West Ham United star Crysencio Summerville is a viable summer transfer target.
Summerville has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium on the back of what has been an impressive second half to the season.
The 24-year-old’s form has even seen him touted for a call-up to the Netherlands senior squad ahead of the World Cup.
While Summerville may currently be sidelined, that has not stopped the West Ham exit rumour mill going full speed.

Napoli latest team to show serious interest in Crysencio Summerville
Summerville sustained an injury in Monday’s FA Cup win over Brentford that will likely keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.
The Dutchman has already done enough to catch the eye of teams both in England and abroad, though, with four-time Serie A champions Napoli keeping a close eye on the attacker.
As per journalist Ada Cotugno via Radio Napoli Centrale, as translated by Arena Napoli, Summerville “remains a convincing player” for Napoli chiefs.
Cotugno adds that “there are a lot of teams after” Summerville, with West Ham clearly having a tough job on their hands retaining the winger.
What do we know about Summerville’s West Ham contract?
Summerville is under contract with West Ham until 2029, so Hammers chiefs will not be too stressed about his situation.
The ball is very much in the Irons’ court in that regard, meaning the East London outfit can demand their fee – assuming they do not go down to the Championship.
Summerville is said to be on around £45,000 a week, which seems relatively low for a top-performing Premier League player, so it may be that West Ham look to offer him improved terms.
As can be seen via the Sofascore graphic below, Summerville is proving to be worth every last penny for West Ham.

Right now, of course, the only focus for Summerville is to get back to full fitness and then help West Ham stay in the Premier League – and hopefully advance even further in the FA Cup.
The former Leeds United ace is now showing exactly why he was so highly rated in the past, and the hope is he can hit the ground running once again when back on the field.
Only in the summer should thoughts then turn to West Ham trying to tempt Summerville into staying on with improved terms at the London Stadium.
