Nuno Espirito Santo exit updates emerges as sources speak out ahead of West Ham relegation
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s future at West Ham United is increasingly shaky.
There are plenty of question marks over the former Nottingham Forest manager’s ambitions beyond the end of the current campaign.
The latest update after the Irons’ 3-1 loss to Newcastle paints a worrying picture, and suggests that the club will be looking for a new manager.
A report from Jacob Steinberg on 18 May claims that sources expect the 52-year-old to walk away if the Hammers drop down to the Championship.
West Ham will be dreading relegation even more, if it means that the Portuguese boss leaves the London Stadium.

Are West Ham resigned to Nuno leaving?
West Ham have to try everything to keep Nuno, his impact has put them in a position where survival was possible.
The report states that they will try to convince him to remain in place, to honour the contract that he signed when he joined.
However, it is looking very unlikely that he will see that out.
Is Nuno right to leave West Ham?
Nuno has every right to leave, given the shambles behind the scenes at the club, even if he is contracted until 2028.

The Hammers recorded a £104million pre-tax loss in the 2024-25 season, and those figures are expected to be even worse for the current season.
That leaves them needing to sell their best players, with the likes of Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville, Jarrod Bowen, and Konstantinos Mavropanos among those mentioned in the report.
No manager would want to deal with that much uncertainty, and it would not be a surprise if he walked away, and waited for a better opportunity to come around in the Premier League.
It would be disastrous for the E20 outfit, but it seems as though that is the direction that the situation is heading in.
It could all be resolved, and he may stay if they beat Leeds on the final day, and Tottenham lose to Chelsea and Everton, but that seems like wishful thinking at this point.
The exit update will be gutting for Hammers supporters, the majority of whom are behind the boss and want him to stay put and lead them back to the top-flight, if the worst happens.
