West Ham record vs Everton gives hope to Tottenham’s relegation chances

West Ham United don’t have a great record against Everton but they will have to ignore that when David Moyes‘ side come to town.

West Ham had the chance to go four points clear of the relegation zone on Monday, only to secure an uninspiring goalless draw at Crystal Palace.

The Eagles had played just a few days prior in the Conference League, with the squad getting special dispensation to celebrate their quarter-final triumph, but Nuno Espirito Santo‘s men couldn’t take advantage of their weary opponents.

Next up, they face a tricky test at home to Europe-chasing Everton, who will want to bounce back from their agonising Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool.

West Ham are unbeaten in their most recent meetings with Everton but their overall Premier League record does not make for great reading.

Everton’s Premier League edge over West Ham

Although West Ham are unbeaten in their last three league games with Everton, historically, this fixture hasn’t been too kind.

The Hammers have won just three of their last 17 Premier League home games against Everton, along with five draws and nine losses.

West Ham’s last three meetings with Everton
Everton 1-1 West HamSeptember 2025
Everton 1-1 West HamMarch 2025
West Ham 0-0 EvertonNovember 2024

Moreover, Everton have won more Premier League games against West Ham both overall (29) and away from home (13) than they have against any other opponent in the competition, as per BBC Sport.

Moyes’ team have chalked up 25 away Premier League points this term but have only won three of their last 15 games in London (five draws and seven losses).

And West Ham may prove a tough nut to crack as they have kept two clean sheets in their last three league games at London Stadium – as many in their previous 41 at their home ground combined.

West Ham relegation zone Premier League table

While West Ham hope to beat Everton, 18th-placed Tottenham are away at already-relegated Wolves on Saturday.

Therefore, Spurs – who are winless in 15 games – could leapfrog West Ham in the table if they win this weekend. So, the pressure is on.

West Ham aim to spoil David Moyes’ return

Moyes made his name at Everton before joining Manchester United in 2013 in an ill-fated move.

He was able to rebuild his managerial reputation in his second spell at West Ham between 2019-24, the highlight of which was lifting the Conference League in 2023.

Fast forward to the present and the Scot has already won at former club Man United this season. Only three managers have won away at two former teams in a campaign.

One of them was Harry Redknapp in 2009-10 (Portsmouth and West Ham), another was Roy Hodgson in 2011-12 (Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers) and the other was Nuno in 2024-25 (Tottenham and Wolves).

It remains to be seen how West Ham will line up against Everton after flattering to deceive against Palace earlier this week.
