West Ham United have been predicted to suffer defeat when they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.

The Hammers secured a valuable point when they drew to Manchester City last time out, but they still remain in the relegation zone on goal difference.

With eight games to go, the Hammers are on course to stay up, but they’ll have their work cut out for them at Villa Park.

Unai Emery’s side are firmly in the race to qualify for the Champions League, but a run of three top-flight losses in a row has harmed their prospects.

West Ham will be desperate to beat Aston Villa, but it’s safe to say that they aren’t considered as the favourites for the match.

As West Ham are clearly the underdogs, Villa are in a great position to do the double over them, meaning their 15-year streak would come to an end.

They might be unbeaten in six Premier League games overall against the Hammers, but the Villans have won just one of their last seven against them at Villa Park.

West Ham have also earned 15 points from their last nine Premier League games, one more than they had in their first 21 this season.

While Villa are expected to brush past the Hammers, Nuno’s side are definitely in form, and Sunday’s clash presents them with a great opportunity to register their biggest away win of the campaign.

Could Callum Wilson have an impact in Aston Villa vs West Ham?

Although he may not be named in Nuno’s starting lineup, Callum Wilson could play his part from off the bench.

What’s even more promising for West Ham fans is that he has a phenomenal record away from home.

The English striker has scored four goals from 16 shots away from home in the Premier League this season (25 per cent conversion), averaging a goal every 125 minutes on the road.

At the London Stadium, he’s scored one goal from 16 shots (6.3 per cent conversion), averaging a goal every 501 minutes.

Wilson scored a late winner away to Tottenham in January, and he has proven to be a valuable asset off the bench, and the fact that Villa haven’t kept a clean sheet in the last four league games bodes well for his chances of making an impact on Sunday.
