West Ham relegation: Simon Jordan shares new verdict after Manchester City scenes
Simon Jordan is still not convinced by West Ham United despite their draw with Manchester City on Saturday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side secured a vital point with a 1-1 draw against Pep Guardiola’s side that took them out of the relegation zone for the first time since 3 December.
They are now back in the drop zone, after Nottingham Forest’s 0-0 draw with Fulham on 15 March, which took the City Ground side back above the Hammers.
The scenes at the London Stadium on 14 March have not been enough to change Jordan’s mind on West Ham’s fate at the end of the campaign.

What did Jordan say on West Ham’s survival chances?
Jordan did admit that West Ham have been better recently, but he still predicted the Irons to drop down to the Championship.
Speaking live on talkSPORT on 16 March, he said: “I still feel and I am not going to change my view, that West Ham might find themselves still getting relegated.”
Hammers supporters will hope that Jordan is wrong, but the verdict is concerning from the former Crystal Palace owner.
Why West Ham cannot afford relegation
The E20 outfit have to prove Jordan wrong at all costs.
They cannot afford to go down to the second tier, given the implications that it will have on their already perilous financial situation.
The Hammers recorded a pre-tax loss of £104.2million for the 2024-25 tax year, and that does not include the figures for the current season.
Those numbers will only get worse if they do not have the large sums of money that come with the Premier League, with the broadcast revenue and prize money.
Supporters in East London will pray that this is one of the many times that Jordan is wide of the mark, and their side stays in the division beyond the end of the season.
It is still a realistic possibility at the moment, they have eight games left and are level on points with Forest and one behind London rivals Tottenham.
The most encouraging sign is that the Irons are 10th in the form table, with two wins, three draws and one loss from their last six league matches.
For comparison, Forest sit 19th with three losses and three draws while Spurs are dead last with five losses and one draw in their last six.
