West Ham boosted by Callum Wilson injury return as record vs Wolves emerges
West Ham United are set to be given a significant boost with Callum Wilson in contention to make his return against Wolves on Saturday.
The striker was sorely missed during the FA Cup quarter-final defeat by Leeds United last time out and watched on as Taty Castellanos and Pablo underwhelmed.
Wilson has made 25 appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring five goals and registering one assist, but despite catching the eye, he could still leave.
In fact, he is the club’s joint second-top hitman so far this campaign, with only talisman Jarrod Bowen managing more goals than him in the Premier League.
Wilson has come up with some big moments for West Ham since joining back in August 2025, and Nuno Espirito Santo will hope he can conjure up more magic this weekend.

What is Callum Wilson’s record vs Wolves?
If the frontman’s record against Wolves over the years is anything to go by, the Hammers already hold the advantage heading into the six-pointer at the London Stadium.
In total, Wilson has made 12 appearances versus the Midlands club, scoring two goals and notching three assists for Bournemouth, Newcastle United and West Ham.

Seven of those matches were in the Premier League, but from that run, the veteran ace found himself on the winning side just once while losing four times.
Nuno will certainly be determined to begin clawing that record back. A win against the top-flight basement dwellers would be a seismic boon to the Hammers’ bid for safety.
Boasting 117 Premier League goal contributions over his glittering career, Wilson has proven time and again that he can be the man to lead his team-mates out of trouble.

Clearly, Nuno has got the best out of Wilson this term, but there are no guarantees that he will start. His age is an issue out of possession, with Castellanos offering more all-around.
Wilson still set to leave West Ham
It is because of Nuno’s uncertain stance toward him that Wilson could still leave West Ham.
This is despite him earning a reprieve in January. He had looked destined to walk away, but after scoring a last-gasp winner against Tottenham, the club reversed their stance.
In March, the 34-year-old reportedly had a verbal agreement in place that his Hammers deal, which will run down in the summer, could be extended by a further year.
However, this now appears unlikely. Wilson, then, will be determined to bow out on a high note by successfully steering the East Londoners to survival over the coming weeks.
