Daniel Cummings exit nailed on at West Ham barring unfortunate scenario
Daniel Cummings could leave West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have conducted some very questionable transfer business over the years, with Kleiber Lamadrid certainly at the top of that list.
However, the arrival of Cummings from Celtic last year also raised eyebrows, given the lack of experience he had in the senior game.
Initially, it was clear that he was brought in as a future prospect, having featured regularly for the Irons’ Under-21 side.
But Cummings has struggled in the Premier League 2, and an exit in the summer may benefit all parties.

West Ham must sanction loan exit for Daniel Cummings
At 20 years old, Cummings needs to be playing regular senior football, and he is very unlikely to get that at West Ham in the Premier League.
The only way that could change is if the Hammers get relegated, which is a strong possibility ahead of the final three games of the season.
| Premier League | Points |
| 16th – Nottingham Forest | 42 |
| 17th – Tottenham | 37 |
| 18th – West Ham | 36 |
Cummings has six goals in 22 appearances this season, which is an average return, but most of the concern stems from his lack of general play.
He’s won just 24 per cent of his duels, showcasing his lack of physicality, while having also completed just 68 per cent of his attempted passes.

For those metrics alone, he ranks among the bottom 7.3 and 29.8 per cent of strikers in the Premier League 2, respectively.
Those areas of his game are not going to improve at youth level, with a loan exit with guarantees over gametime by far the best scenario.
What’s next for Cummings?
Given the reputation he had in Scotyland, there would be suitors there if he were to be made available for loan.
However, Cummings needs to stay in English football if he is to ever make it at West Ham, with a move to the EFL far more beneficial.
Several League One or even League Two sides could benefit from his arrival, and it may be the type of move he needs to develop to the required standard.
