Nuno clears up Crysencio Summerville situation in West Ham team news update
Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update on the fitness of West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville.
The Dutchman sustained a knock in the Hammers’ FA Cup win against Brentford on Monday, though he was forced to continue, with Nuno having made all of his substitutions.
Summerville has proven vital for the Irons since the turn of the year, chipping in with six goal contributions as West Ham have closed the gap to the safety line.
With fixtures against Manchester City and Aston Villa coming up before the international break, supporters will be eager to hear the recent injury news from the head coach.

Nuno provides Crysencio Summerville update
The 24-year-old sustained a knock during extra time during West Ham’s win against Brentford, but had to carry on playing following treatment, with all of Nuno’s substitutions made in the game’s dying moments.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash against title chasing Manchester City, the Portuguese head coach provided an update on Summerville’s fitness.
“Summerville will not be available against Manchester City,” he said, also confirming that the added minutes on Monday did not cause any further harm.
“We will continue to assess him day by day,” he added.
“We’re going to miss him because he’s an important player for us.”
With the international break coming up after next week’s clash with Aston Villa, the wideman was set to link up with the Dutch national team.
Though on a more positive note for the Hammers, there will be extra time provided for his recovery ahead of a crucial run until the end of the season.
Crysencio Summerville will still have a big say in West Ham survival battle
Signing for the club in the summer of 2024, the Dutchman had a slow start to life at the London Stadium.
Though he has completely exploded into life under Nuno, with the 24-year-old carrying West Ham’s survival bid on his back as of late – his Sofascore graphic below demonstrates the all-action nature of the winger.

Always looking to get on the ball and make something happen, Summerville provides pace on the left-hand side, while his immense ball-carrying ability sees him eat up ground magnificently.
The Irons sit below Nottingham Forest on goal difference, and are the favourites to go on and secure a top flight spot given their form.
Though, if Nuno’s side are to do this, they will need Summerville, who will undoubtedly play a crucial role.
