Newcastle United vs West Ham injury latest as five players definitely out
Newcastle United take on West Ham United at St James’ Park, where five players will definitely be absent for Sunday’s contest.
West Ham are in desperate need of a victory against a Newcastle side marooned in mid-table, as the Irons occupy a relegation spot with two games to go.
This weekend’s trip to the North-East is followed by a home match against Leeds United on the final weekend, while Tottenham Hotspur – two points better off – face Chelsea and Everton.
Nuno Espirito Santo has had near enough a full squad to choose from in recent weeks, but he will be without one player against Newcastle.

Adama Traore ruled out of Newcastle clash
Having no real injury or suspension issues of note this late in a season is very rare, but that has been the case for West Ham of late.
However, Nuno confirmed at Friday’s press conference that winger Adama Traore is now sidelined with a muscular injury.
“Adama is out for this game,” Nuno said. “It’s a muscular thing – he wasn’t available for the match against Arsenal. He’s recovering and it’s going to be short for this one.
“The rest of the squad is good, and they are all options. We will decide the team, and we will look to compete well.”
Traore was never going to start against Newcastle, so his absence has little impact on Nuno’s starting line-up selection.

Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen are set to start on the flanks, with Callum Wilson favourite to lead the line.
Lewis Miley one of four ruled out for Newcastle
Nuno’s opposite number Eddie Howe has a few more injury issues to contend with, including versatile defender Lewis Miley.
Miley sustained an injury in training that required surgery and will keep him out until the summer months.
Emil Krafth and Fabian Schar are also definitely out, as is Valentino Livramento, making it five players ruled out across both teams combined.

Joelinton is touch-and-go, meanwhile, as he is set to undergo a late fitness test on a thigh issue he has sustained.
Jacob Murphy, Will Osula and Anthony Gordon could start up top for Newcastle, who are 10 points better off than West Ham in 13th place.
