Crysencio Summerville touch-and-go as five players could miss West Ham vs Leeds United
Crysencio Summerville will undergo a late fitness test ahead of West Ham United‘s clash with Leeds United on Sunday.
Summerville has been West Ham’s most important player this year – even more so than Jarrod Bowen – but has been nursing an injury issue.
The Dutchman has not played since the FA Cup win over Brentford on 9 March, in which he suffered the injury he has since been carrying.
As well as missing West Ham’s draw with Manchester City and defeat to Aston Villa, Summerville missed out on a first call-up to the Netherlands senior squad.
He is one of five players who have either been ruled out with injury or are considered doubtful, across both teams combined, as West Ham prepare to take on Leeds.

What is the latest on Crysencio Summerville vs Leeds?
After two weeks without an update, Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters on Friday to provide the latest on Summerville.
The Portuguese did not rule the versatile forward out of the game with Leeds at the London Stadium, but neither did he say he is available.

“We’re trying, all of us trying, to get him [back] as soon as possible,” Nuno told reporters. “We’re assessing day by day, to see how he improves. We have one day to go, and then we will take decisions.”
That one day would have been Saturday, and now all eyes will be on the team sheet to see whether Summerville is included against his former side.

However, if Nuno’s update with regards to Summerville’s fitness is true, in that he is having to undergo a late check, surely it would make more sense to leave him out for another week?
Who else could miss West Ham vs Leeds?
Beyond Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo is also doubtful for the contest in East London, while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is out.
As for Leeds, they have a potential big-name absentee of their own as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is nursing an injury he felt in training this week.
Calvert-Lewin has gone off the boil of late, but his 10 Premier League goals this season were enough to earn him an appearance for England during the two-week break.
His absence from the Leeds side would therefore only be a positive.
Aside from Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach is the only other named injury concern, but Farke stressed that was only a minor back issue.

That means five players have question marks above them across both sides for what should be an entertaining FA Cup quarter-final tie.
