West Ham United done deal as gem pens contract at London Stadium
West Ham United have announced that Emeka Adiele has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Hammers announced the news via their official website on Wednesday (31 July), saying they are “delighted” that they managed to secure the 17-year-old’s services.
Adiele joined the East London club at Under-9s level and has since come up through the academy, signing his first professional deal on his 17th birthday.
Speaking after penning the deal, he told the club’s website: “It’s a really nice feeling and I’m very grateful to be here with my family to celebrate this moment.
“Growing up, they’ve always been there, supporting me, guiding me and making sure I’m doing the right things and staying focused.”
Emeka Adiele could be a future star at West Ham
West Ham could have a future star in the making in Adiele. The 17-year-old has been with the Hammers since he was nine and has so far impressed everyone with his talent and hard work.
Last season, he scored nine goals in the U18 Premier League, showing his skills and versatility. This also earned him a spot in the Development Squad and Premier League 2 matches.
On top of that, Emeka has built strong relationships with his coaches, like Lauris Coggin and Mark Robson, which has helped him improve. He seems to be able to take a lot of feedback on board, which is always a positive thing.
Kenny Brown, the Hammers’ Academy Manager, has praised Emeka many times for his speed, talent and positive attitude.
The youngster himself said he dreams of joining the first team and is ready to work hard to make it happen.
And with this drive and positive attitude, Adiele could become a big name at West Ham. Keep an eye on him because he could be one to watch.
