Youssef En-Nesyri eager to stay in La Liga after West Ham United make fresh bid for January transfer
West Ham target Youssef En-Nesyri is eager to stay in La Liga this month, despite the club tabling a loan offer to bring him to the Premier League.
The Hammers have been tracking the Morocco striker since 2021 and had a £30m transfer bid rejected in the 2022 January transfer window.
But after The Athletic reported that they had returned to the table with a loan offer this month, the Daily Mail say that the player isn’t so keen on a move at this moment in time.

“The Hammers made a renewed approach for the Moroccan striker in order to help solve the problems in their toothless attack – but look to be frustrated with the player eager to stay in LaLiga,” they wrote (10 January).
Blow?
It’s hard to say whether or not this is a blow for West Ham, because whether we actually need a striker or not is up for debate.
Gianluca Scamacca has looked good in a West Ham shirt but is playing in a struggling team, while Michail Antonio has shown us over the years that he is more than capable of chipping in with several goals to help get us points.

Add Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to the equation too and there is plenty of quality there to get us out of this situation if the manager bucks up his ideas.
But Moyes has clearly wanted En-Nesyri for a while and sees him as someone who can improve the team, so not being able to bring him in will be seen as another blow in a struggling season so far.
He hasn’t scored a single league goal so far this season for a struggling Sevilla side, and had it not been for the World Cup where he scored twice in seven games, nobody would care if he wasn’t coming in. So that should probably remain the case.
