Wout Faes medical details emerge for deadline day West Ham arrival

Wout Faes looks to be be making progress in his move to West Ham United from Leicester City.

The Belgian centre-back has emerged as a shock target for the Hammers on the final day of the transfer window in England.

Faes, 28, fell out of favour at the King Power Stadium and joined Ligue 1 outfit Monaco on loan for the second half of last season.

However, he is now back at Leicester after that spell ended and Leicester are trying to get him off their books after they were relegated to Ligue 1.

West Ham could now provide a new home, with Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri providing new details.

What's the latest with West Ham United and Wout Faes?

Earlier on deadline day, Tavolieri reported that West Ham and Leicester had agreed a verbal agreement for the transfer of Faes.

He wrote that Faes was expected to sign a three-year deal to make the switch to the London Stadium in a deadline busting move.

Now, Tavolieri has provided a follow-up update surrounding Faes' reported switch to east London.

Tavolieri replied to his original post, to say that Faes is set to undergo his medical at Rush Green on Tuesday afternoon.

Who else is on West Ham's radar?

News of the Hammers' interest has come a little from left field, and met with some scepticism.

There are other centre-backs still being linked with West Ham on deadline day, too.

Nottingham Forest's Brazilian defender Morato is reportedly in line to complete a loan-to-buy deal with the Hammers.

Everton's veteran defender Michael Keane has also previously been linked to West Ham.

The Hammers are keen to make further reinforcements on the final day of the window, especially after a tough start to life in the Championship.
