West Ham United are edging ever closer to the signing of Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon.

The Hammers' transfer window has been a slow burner since they suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville, and Freddie Potts have all departed.

More players could follow out of the exit door as well, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean-Clair Todibo linked with a departure.

Nuno Espirito Santo is desperate to add more players to his West Ham squad given the players who have left.

And it looks as though Israel international Solomon is now on the cusp of making the move to the London Stadium.

Manor Solomon medical update drops at West Ham United

It was reported over the weekend that Solomon's move to West Ham was advancing to the final stages.

The Hammers are expected to cough up an initial £5million fee for Solomon, while further bonuses could be included.

At one stage it looked as though the deal might hit a brick a wall over a disagreement over the those bonuses.

But now it appears to be very much on, and a new update has dropped on West Ham's pursuit of Solomon.

Noted transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, who is a prominent contributor for talkSPORT and GiveMeSport, has reported that Solomon is to undergo his West Ham medical on Monday.

He will go through his checks and balances later in the day, and an announcement of his arrival looks to edging ever closer.

What's next for West Ham after Manor Solomon?

Improving West Ham's options out wide has been a priority for Nuno, who has seen Summerville depart and Adama Traore left as a free agent.

Solomon appears to be almost through the door, while Arsenal's Reiss Nelson is said to be on the Hammers' radar in a potential loan deal.

Sunderland's Simon Adingra had previously been mentioned as an option too, but images of the winger in a protective boot last week have cast doubt on that deal.

Versatile defender Joel Veltman is West Ham's only summer signing so far, so there is a need to get more bodies in the door.

But it looks as though work is finally being done on making sure Nuno has the tools at his disposal to put on a charge for promotion back to the Premier League this season.
