West Ham want London talks with teenage sensation Kerr Smith
West Ham are in pursuit of 16-year-old Dundee United defender Kerr Smith, according to The Sun‘s Alan Nixon.
It is claimed that the Irons, alongside London rivals Crystal Palace, want the Scottish teenager to travel to the capital for transfer talks.
Southampton are also credited with an interest in the centre-back who made his Tangarines debut during the latter stages of last season.

It is claimed that various approaches have been made by Premier League clubs for Smith, while Nixon has previously reported that he has a release clause which means the Scottish Premiership club must accept a fee of around £500,000.
The decision would then lie with Smith over his next move.

Focus on youth
There appeared to be a recruitment drive for talented youngsters at West Ham recently.
Thierry Nevers, Brian Kinnear and Armstrong Okoflex have all recently arrived in east London as the club seek to swell their Under-23 squad.
The latter two both joined from Scottish clubs (Rangers and Celtic) and it appears the Irons are looking north of the border once again.
Smith has already gained experience in top-flight football despite his youthful years, and thus he could go straight into the second-string side rather than the Under-18s.
After a disappointing 2020/21 campaign that saw the Under-23 side finish third-bottom of the Premier League 2, there is clear room for improvement.
The new signings already look to have galvanised the squad after a 6-1 hammering of Arsenal on August 16 that saw Okoflex score a hat-trick.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes is set for Sunday player talks over a £15m+ move for this attacker.
