West Ham United wanted to sign Wilfried Zaha in January, could return to Premier League in summer
West Ham United want to sign Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha, with the player open to a return to the Premier League this summer according to talkSPORT.
Writing on their website (16 February), the news outlet report that the Hammers were interested in a deal for the former Crystal Palace ‘Superstar‘ during the January window but the player didn’t want to leave Turkey in mid-season.
However the 31-year-old could be open to a return to England at the end of the season, with the Irons and Aston Villa interested in doing a deal.
Wilfried Zaha could be a perfect West Ham winger
West Ham have always had players that get the fans off their feet and can win games on their own, and the current squad is no different.
Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus all fit into that category right now, but the addition of a top winger like Zaha with Premier League experience and also Champions League experience now could be huge.
He is obviously in his thirties now and has got a hefty wage packet in Turkey, but a return to London could be hugely appealing to him and playing with better players like those already mentioned would also be something to make him think.

If David Moyes is to leave the club at the end of the season as could well be the case, it would also get rid of any awkwardness from the deal after their time together at Manchester United.
This is certainly one to watch for the summer because he’s unlikely to cost a bomb after moving there on a free transfer last year, so Tim Steidten might have to get his negotiating hat on.
