West Ham United want to sign Serhou Guirassy in £15m deal, they’ve scouted him for months
West Ham United want to sign Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy this summer in a deal worth £15m after watching him for months, according to HITC.
Writing on their website (10 April), the news outlet report that the Guinea sensation has rejected a new contract at Stuttgart and is keen on a move to the Premier League this summer.
Guirassy has scored 24 Bundesliga goals this season, a number only bettered by Harry Kane, and the 28-year-old has a £15m release clause in his contract that becomes active again this summer.
And the Hammers are one of several Premier League sides interested in doing a deal having scouted him several times in recent months.
West Ham United need a new striker this summer
The summer transfer window at the London Stadium is going to be exceptional, with big rumours about people leaving and also coming in.
But regardless of that, it’s clear that a new striker is going to be necessary because of the current state of the squad and Guirassy could be ideal.
Michail Antonio is into his mid-thirties and as good as he has been in recent weeks, he simply cannot be relied upon to stay fit for an entire season and provide the goals to fire the team forward.

If David Moyes is to stay at the club then Guirassy is a player who suits the style of play he likes, but if he doesn’t then the club must be sure that whoever replaces him knows how to get the best out of him.
Paulo Fonseca has been the man linked as the number one target to replace Moyes should he leave, and Guirassy would be a coup at £15m, so the club should start looking towards the summer relatively soon.
