West Ham United want to sign Angelo Preciado as Daniel Kretinsky involved in new transfer
West Ham are interested in signing Sparta Prague full-back Angelo Preciado as a replacement for Vladimir Coufal, according to TBR Football.
The online source reported [1 October] that the Hammers are already planning for the expiration of Coufal’s contract in July 2025, with the club open to his departure.
It is understood a move for Preciado would “not be difficult” due to major shareholder Daniel Kretinsky currently owning Sparta Prague, linking the two clubs easily.
West Ham United to sign Angelo Preciado from Sparta Prague?
After being a regular under David Moyes last season, Coufal has only started two Premier League matches so far this term, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka taking the leading role.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise to see the Czechia international linked with a move away from the London Stadium, or the club open to his exit, especially due to some of his recent performances.
At 32 years of age, it feels like the right time to move some of the old players in the squad on, a task that has already taken shape after the departures of Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma.
While Julen Lopetegui’s tenure has not gotten off to the brightest of starts, winning just one of their opening six Premier League matches of the season, there are better days ahead for the Hammers.
Preciado, 26, looks to be a decent talent, having already grabbed two assists in his opening four league appearances for Sparta Prague and is set to star in the Champions League this term.

The Ecuadorian full-back has plenty of experience in European competitions, especially in the Europa League and is a regular at international level, making him the ideal candidate at the London Stadium.
If Kretinsky can help bring the defender to East London, likely on a cheaper deal due to his allegiances with the Hammers, Lopetegui could be set to add an exciting member to his squad soon.
