West Ham United transfer news: Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Lucas Paqueta amid change of agent
West Ham United are preparing for a battle to keep record-signing Lucas Paqueta at the club as Paris Saint-Germain have registered their interest, say 90min (27 June).
The Brazil international joined the club for a record-breaking £50m last summer and was a key player as the team avoided relegation and won their first trophy in over 40 years by claiming the Europa Conference League.
But his performances have now caught the eye of Qatar-owned PSG who have been alerted to his recent change of agent as a sign he could be open to a transfer.

“And West Ham may have another problem on their hands if Ligue 1 giants PSG decide to follow up on their interest in Paqueta,” they wrote.
“Sources have confirmed to 90min that the former Champions League finalists are keeping tabs on his situation, knowing the player has recently changed representatives.”
No way
Obviously if Paris Saint-Germain make their presence felt in this transfer window then it will be incredibly difficult for West Ham to fight them off.
Paqueta is the star man at the club, and with Declan Rice all set to leave West Ham this summer his role is only set to improve and become even more important.

He has been tipped to take the captain’s armband for the new 2023/24 season at the London Stadium, but joining a club like PSG who are constantly competing for trophies is something West Ham will struggle to compete with.
They have the money to convince him to move and convince West Ham to part ways with him, but the club simply cannot afford to lose him at this stage of the club’s rebuilding process.
There is already so much that needs to be done this summer with Rice likely to leave plus the future of Michail Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca also up in the air, Paqueta simply cannot be allowed to leave.
