West Ham United transfer news as Sevilla want to ‘accelerate’ Pablo Fornals arrival, hope ‘negligible’ offer will be accepted
Sevilla want to “accelerate” the arrival of West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals in January with his contract up in 2024, according to El Sevillista.
According to the Spanish news outlet (26 September), the Champions League club are hopeful West Ham will accept a “negligible” offer for the Spanish international in order to “get some profitability” and avoid losing him on a free transfer.
The report also writes that Sevilla are already advancing in their plans for the January market and have placed Fornals at the top of their target list as they look to bolster the squad to qualify for Europe.

January exit well on cards
Following the departures of Declan Rice, Gianluca Scamacca, Manuel Lanzini and Nikola Vlasic, there could well have been more exits on the cards with Fornals so close to becoming another crucial loss for West Ham United.
The Spaniard has proven a crucial tool for David Moyes on several occasions over the past two campaigns but with his contract having just a year to run, the East Londoners could well be tempted to cash in on him before long.

And given Sevilla’s desperation to bolster their squad after a poor start to the La Liga campaign, they are well within their right to try and negotiate a small price for the Spaniard so West Ham could gain a “profitable” fee.
It’s been reported that Fornals has rejected the chance of a new deal at the London Stadium (Sean Whetstone, 14 September) which means the club simply cannot afford to lose a player moving into his prime years for free.
Fornals has lost his place as a regular starter in the West Ham side over the last 12 months after the arrival of Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and most recently Mohammed Kudus and given his age, he will be desperate for regular game time.
It may be financially viable for West Ham to accept whatever transfer fee they can get in January. All roads are leading to an inevitable exit in January but he still could have a crucial part to play until then.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers’ next Premier League opponents have reportedly made a decision over the future of their manager.
