West Ham United transfer news as Alexander Bah battle on cards
West Ham are battling Nottingham Forest and Arsenal for the signature of Benfica right-back Alexander Bah, with money available to spend, according to Tipsbladet.
The Danish news outlet shared via their website on 30 August that there has been plenty of interest in Bah from across Europe this summer, although Benfica insist he is not for sale and would require £30.1million to consider a deal.
It is claimed that West Ham are leading with the money they have gained from player sales this summer still available to spend, as the club continue looking to recruit further additions to David Moyes’ squad.

One to watch
Bah has been credited with interest from some of Europe’s top clubs in Arsenal and Barcelona, after arriving at Benfica from Slavia Prague for £6.8million just last season, and would be a very exciting option should he arrive at the London Stadium this summer.
West Ham are reported to have been looking at younger full-back options this summer as they look to prepare for the future without the ageing Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell, and Bah fits the bill for this role at just 25 years old.
The Danish right-back has plenty of experience, particularly last season when he made eight Champions League appearances for the Portuguese Champions while bagging five assists from 28 games in Liga Portugal.

This top-level experience could lend itself brilliantly to Moyes’ side, and he has also shown an ability to adapt to new surroundings, having played in four different countries already in his career, so a move to East London should not be too much of an issue.
In other West Ham news, the club have made an approach for another highly-rated young defender.
