Alan Brazil goes off on West Ham United tangent as Dele Alli future at Everton discussed on talkSPORT
Alan Brazil raised the example of Jesse Lingard at West Ham as to how Dele Alli can potentially get his career back on track away from Everton.
Dele’s future at Goodison Park looks bleak unless Everton can renegotiate terms of the agreement reached with Tottenham in February 2022.
Everton are due to pay Spurs £10million if Dele plays seven more games, but The Mirror [3 November] claims they want to change that clause.

Gabby Agbonlahor suggested on talkSPORT [3 November, 06:27] that the midfielder needs to find a club where he can enjoy his football.
In response, Brazil went off on a tangent and said: “What about Lingard – why didn’t he stay at West Ham after having great success there?”
Without a club
Lingard at West Ham is indeed a good example as to how a player can turn their career around when at a crossroads as such.
The Englishman lit up the London Stadium during a spell on loan there from Manchester United in the second half of the 2020-21 season.
Lingard scored nine goals and assisted four more in 16 Premier League games, matching his best return across a whole season with Man United.

Rather than stay in East London, however, Lingard opted to join Nottingham Forest last season and was let go after less than 12 months.
The 30-year-old is now without a club after a period training with West Ham and then Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, both with little success.
While that tale ended in disappointment for Lingard, his initial decision to seek pastures new when many had written him off worked wonders.
While he may have strong Tottenham links, no West Ham fan will begrudge him trying to find happiness – wherever that may be – once he is back to full fitness.
In other West Ham news, Vanessa Gold is reportedly at odds with fellow board members David Sullivan and Daniel Kretinsky over the valuation of the Hammers.
