West Ham United top price for Brentford star Ivan Toney transfer revealed
West Ham United want to sign Brentford star Ivan Toney, but find themselves behind Chelsea and Tottenham in the race for his signature according to SportLens.
Writing on their website (29 May), the news outlet report that the England international wants to leave for a bigger club but Brentford’s valuation is putting teams off doing a deal currently.
But Chelsea are currently willing to go highest with an offer, with their top line at around £60million, while Tottenham would be willing to go to around £45million and the Hammers would come in just below that at around £40million.
Ivan Toney would be perfect West Ham United transfer
West Ham are already making their moves in the transfer market, but it seems that a striker is the priority position to cover considering the state of the squad.
Southampton want to sign Danny Ings, Michail Antonio is wanted by clubs in Saudi Arabia and the MLS and Divin Mubama is set to leave when his contract expires, so reinforcements are needed.
Toney has shone while at Brentford and become one of the standout performers in the Premier League, scoring incredible goals and earning praise from Pep Guardiola who labelled him “exceptional“.

Julen Lopetegui likes to play with a target man and Toney is one of the best options available in the market, but the chances of getting him for £40million seem very slim considering the competition for his signature.
The board should be willing to go higher to get this type of deal over the line as he would lift the quality of the squad massively, but it seems like other targets are more likely to come to the London Stadium now.
In other West Ham news, the club have tabled a £9.7million offer for an “unbelievable” attacker.
