West Ham United table £33.7m bid to sign Gianluca Scamacca amid PSG transfer development
West Ham United have tabled a bid worth £33.7million to sign Sassuolo and Italy striker Gianluca Sacamma, according to Sky Sports Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
Writing vis his personal website on Tuesday (12 July), Di Marzio reported that West Ham’s “first important offer” for Scamacca, 23, has been sent to Sassuolo.
It is understood that Paris Saint-Germain are also trying to sign the Rome-born centre-forward but are stuck at a stalemate in negotiations.

Di Marzio adds that West Ham’s first bid for Scamacca is short of what Sassuolo want for the striker with the Serie A side valuing him between £38million and £42.2million.
Wow
Di Marzio is never usually someone to get it wrong and being as he’s now reporting on something happening in Italy, we have to believe this is something that’s actually happened.
Are the Irons finally about to sign a striker?
We admit it is hard to believe.
However, Scamacca would be a very good addition for David Moyes.

Last season, the former Lazio, Roma and PSV striker scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo.
He found the back of the net against top teams too, scoring against the likes of Inter Milan, Napoli and Italian champions AC Milan, who were beaten 3-1 by Sassuolo at the San Siro back in November.
West Ham’s transfer business this summer has been good so far but it has been slow.
We just know that they’re sitting on a goldmine of cash that’s just waiting to be put forward to bring a brand new striker to the London Stadium.
Is this it? Is this finally it?
It’s hard to not get our hopes up but the fact Di Marzio is reporting this is very encouraging.
