West Ham United submit bid to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka amid £15m+ Man United update
West Ham United have lodged a proposal to Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka which has fallen short of United’s asking price, according to Stretty News.
As reported by Dale O’Donnell [17 July], Man United are prepared to take a loss of up to 70% on the £50m they paid for Wan-Bissaka in 2019, to lure him from Crystal Palace.
The Irons are in the market in several positions this summer including at right-back, and have appeared to see their first offer for the 26-year-old rebuffed after it was confirmed they were in for the player [Alex Crook, 17 July].
West Ham could snatch Wan-Bissaka for £15m
Whilst West Ham United have shown they are unafraid to fork out funds in this summer window amid a major squad rebuilding project, it looks as if they have sent an opening offer to Man United of less than £15m.
A fairly commonplace tactic to gauge how low the Red Devils are willing to go, it looks as if it will be fairly straightforward for the Hammers to complete a deal for Wan-Bissaka if they want him badly enough.
A proven player who has been called up for England in the past, Wan-Bissaka has just a year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and it looks as if the natural time for a new chapter has arrived.

The defender was born in London and has projected his desire to return to the capital [Stretty News, 12 July], where he left five years ago and has made 190 appearances for Man United.
With Erik ten Hag preferring Diogo Dalot in his position, Wan-Bissaka may also see his game time further limited as he enters the final season of his existing deal.
In other West Ham news, an update has emerged on Jean-Clair Todibo.
