West Ham United stance emerges as Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus linked with exits

West Ham have no intentions of selling Mohammed Kudus or Edson Alvarez this summer despite transfer interest, according to HITC.

The online source reported [20 June] that Kudus has attracted interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United while the Mexican has been the subject of enquiries from Atletico Madrid.

With both arriving from Ajax last summer, Kudus cost the Hammers £38million, as per BBC Sport, and Alvarez joined for £35.4million, as per Sky Sports, the club are not willing to separate with them.

While many were disappointed with the campaign under David Moyes’ leadership, Kudus and Alvarez were still very key for the Irons, standing out with their sensational displays.

Upon his arrival, Julen Lopetegui will be extremely happy to see both of these players in his arsenal ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and will likely be two of the main anchors of the squad next season.

Of course, Jarrod Bowen was the star forward with 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions last season, but Kudus was, arguably, more exciting with his silky skills on the ball and talent on the pitch.

Ending the Premier League campaign with an overhead bicycle kick against the champions Manchester City tells you everything you need to know about the Ghanaian forward.

Alvarez, on the other hand, was the rock in front of the defence, sweeping up as much as he could, though he is only one man for a rather difficult job.

Mohammed Kudus has been a revelation since joining West Ham United from Ajax just last summer

He marks the bottom of the team’s spine, and Lopetegui will be keen for him to remain at the London Stadium as the Hammers look to rebuild under the new manager’s guidance.

The Spaniard is likely to make multiple changes to the squad this summer, but these two stars must be at the London Stadium once the 2024/25 campaign kicks off.
