West Ham United sign off on documents to sign Wes Foderingham – Fabrizio Romano

West Ham have completed the signing of Wes Foderingham, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Itallian journalist reported via X (20 June) that the Hammers have signed off on the documents to complete the free transfer.

Foderingham will arrive at the London Stadium as the new third-choice goalkeeper.

The 33-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Wes Foderingham set to join Julen Lopetegui at West Ham United

It has been a busy first few weeks in charge so far for Julen Lopetegui.

Foderingham is set to become the club’s second confirmed signing of the summer already as the Hammers look to rebuild under Lopetegui.

While this signing might not be as exciting or flashy as the arrival of Luis Guilherme, it is no doubt an important addition to the squad.

As a result of Nathan Trott closing in on a London Stadium exit, the Hammers needed a new established third-choice goalkeeper.

And Foderingham is an excellent player to fill that role.

The shot-stopper was the number one for Sheffield United last season and therefore arrives in East London with plenty of experience.

Bringing a player of his quality to the club for free can only be viewed as a good thing, and there is no reason why he cannot force his way up the pecking order under Lopetegui.

Once Foderingham is announced, supporters at the London Stadium will no doubt be keen for the club to continue this fast-paced transfer business.

In other West Ham news, one Euro ace would move to the London Stadium as his current club look to raise funds.
