West Ham United set to secure Mohamadou Kante transfer as ExWHUemployee shares medical update
West Ham are now expected to complete the signing of Mohamadou Kante within a matter of days, according to ExWHUemployee.
A report from the Hammers source via The West Ham Way on 19 August indicated that the Paris FC youngster is set to join the club and go into the Under-21s squad.
The midfielder is reported to have already been undergoing his Irons medical ahead of completing the switch in “a couple of days”.
Kante, 18, is said to have “a lot of talent and potential” and is seen as one for the future by the club.
West Ham land young namesake after N’Golo Kante deal failed
Tim Steidten was unsuccessful in trying to land Kante’s illustrious namesake N’Golo earlier this summer at a time when the window was becoming frustrating.
The German turned things around in a big way subsequently to bring in Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, and Guido Rodriguez, before adding Jean-Clair Todibo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
It looks like he may have thrown in another one for the future for good measure in the hopes he can go some way of emulating the former Chelsea star.
Julen Lopetegui is still after Carlos Soler from PSG and the club are now in talks with the French giants over a deal, according to Sky Sports on 19 August, while The Times reported the same day that three current midfielders could leave to help make space.

In that context it clearly would be difficult for the Paris FC youngster to hope to make an impact in the senior set up right now, with Andy Irving potentially going out on loan after offers came in [Edinburgh Evening News, 16 August].
But if his medical is successfully passed Kante will hope to develop for a season or two in the Under-21s and push through.
In other West Ham news, a senior ace is now stuck abroad in transfer “limbo” after flying out to complete his exit from the club, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
