West Ham United scouts watch Ibrahim Sangare at PSV Eindhoven v Ajax, £33m summer transfer on cards
West Ham scouts were present at the Eredivisie clash between PSV Eindhoven and Ajax on Sunday to watch Ibrahim Sangare, according to 90min.
The Hammers are expected to lose captain Declan Rice in the summer with Arsenal considered as the frontrunners for his signature, meaning midfield is a position that needs to be bolstered during the transfer window.
And Sangare, who has a €37m (£33m) release clause in his contract, is among the targets to replace him with the club sending scouts to watch him in action this past weekend.

It’s also claimed in the report (24 April) that Sangare’s representatives have alerted West Ham to his availability this summer.
Quality
Sangare is a player who has international caps for the Ivory Coast, but also has played in the Champions League, Europa League and Eredivisie as a regular this season alone.
A rangy midfielder with excellent defensive attributes, he is also able to burst forward and break the lines similarly to the way Rice does.
With Rice expected to leave the club in a deal worth at least £80m, signing Sangare for £33m in the summer would represent solid business and leave the manager with extra funds to further bolster the squad.

The likes of Tottenham and Arsenal have also been linked so we’ll have to move quickly, but it seems as though plans are now firmly in motion for the summer transfer window and life after Rice.
It’s going to be a busy summer and the manager, whoever that is, will have some big decisions to make on what they want the squad to look like going forward.
