West Ham United schedule new Aaron Wan-Bissaka talks amid Manchester United exit update

West Ham United are yet to reach an agreement with Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but new transfer talks have been scheduled, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Sky Sports journalist reported via X on Monday (29 July) that more negotiations between the Hammers and the Red Devils have taken place, but no agreement has yet been found with the player or clubs.

Julen Lopetegui’s side remain keen to secure the right-back’s signature, but the Irons have “clear financial limits” as they look to strike a permanent deal with the Premier League giants.

Reports had suggested that talks were “advanced” between the two clubs with the Hammers ready to pay upwards of £10million for the defender’s signature [talkSPORT, 29 July], but it doesn’t seem as though a deal is close.

Will Aaron Wan-Bissaka exit Manchester United amid West Ham transfer rumours?

This deal has been rumbling on in the background for a while now at the London Stadium and while progress does slowly seem to be being made, it is frustrating no agreement has yet been reached between all parties.

While there is still plenty of time left ahead of the summer transfer deadline, Lopetegui will want his new additions through the London Stadium door as early as possible as he looks to bed them into the squad in pre-season.

The later players arrive, the less likely they are to hit the ground running during the new campaign which will be frustrating for fans and players alike. West Ham have to push to try and get this transfer completed sooner rather than later.

It does seem as though both sides are eager to get this transfer completed, which can only be a positive thing for the Hammers as it should mean Manchester United will be flexible when it comes to their valuation of the player.

But until an agreement is reached between all parties, it is hard to get too excited about this prospective transfer as it still feels as though there is plenty of work to be done in the coming days and potentially weeks.
