West Ham United ready Tammy Abraham transfer before August 30
West Ham are ready to push for AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham after signing Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper reported [14 August, page 16] that, while an official offer has not been submitted by the Hammers yet, the Serie A side are aware of the interest in their 26-year-old striker.
It is understood that Julen Lopetegui’s side have turned to the former Chelsea forward after the transfer saga involving Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, with Roma valuing him at £25.7million.
Daniele De Rossi’s side would consider an offer of £21.4million plus £4.3million in add-ons, however, with the Hammers targeting a second striker signing after Fullkrug.
Julen Lopetegui wants more transfers at West Ham United
Fans have certainly been unconvinced by the Irons’ attacking lineup during pre-season, at least they were until Fullkrug was signed for £27million [BBC Sport].
The German hugely impressed at Euro 2024 this summer, coming off the bench to score against Scotland before netting a last-gasp goal against Switzerland.
West Ham are well known for their awful choice of strikers throughout the years, with Danny Ings likely to make that list after just four goals in 52 appearances.

Michail Antonio, on the other hand, deserves a lot more respect, having taken the title of the club’s highest Premier League scorer, but there will certainly be concerns over his recent injuries.
The 34-year-old missed 17 matches during the 2023/24 campaign [Transfermarkt], so it is really no mystery to see Lopetegui so keen to add two strikers to his squad before the new season begins.
In other West Ham news, a “disgraceful” behind-the-scenes decision at the London Stadium has emerged.
