Crysencio Summerville is a stellar addition for West Ham United

The Hammers feel like a team on a mission this summer and have revamped their squad across the board.

Despite finishing in ninth place last term, it was evident that Julen Lopetegui’s men needed improvement.

Whilst many players such as Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme have arrived at the London Stadium, Summerville’s addition is arguably the best of the bunch.

The winger won the Championship Player of the Season award for Leeds in his last campaign and managed to contribute to 31 goals and assists.

He was by far and away Daniel Farke’s most important player and looks more than ready to take the step up to the top flight.

His arrival will help alleviate some pressure from the shoulders of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus across the season.

And, with the Hammers’ expected transfer of Borussia Dortmund marksman Niclas Fullkrug [Florian Plettenberg, 3 August], it’s shaping up to be a strong campaign for the club.

In other West Ham news, a club has been accused of using the Irons to drive up the price of a player who was never going to move to the London Stadium.
