West Ham United push Fabricio Bruno offer to limit of what they can afford
Fabricio Bruno is deciding whether to join West Ham United with the offer being as much as they can afford this summer, according to GE.
The Hammers have made an offer but the Brazilian outlet has suggested the wage involved “is not significantly higher” than his Flamengo salary.
West Ham are “at the limit” of what they can afford and therefore won’t change or increase the conditions of the deal.
Given that Bruno has a contract in Brazil lasting until 2026 he can take time to consider his options before leaving his family in a move to the London Stadium.
West Ham hit Fabricio Bruno stumbling block
Given that a deal for the defender looked all but done it will be of great frustration to potentially miss out on him in such circumstances.
Tim Steidten has taken over control of the transfer side of the club and won’t want his first deal to fall through like this.
Julen Lopetegui will be looking to bolster his squad as he prepares for his first season in charge of the Hammers.
The Spaniard isn’t going to be best pleased that the first target the club go after falls through at the final hurdle.
Given that a move to play in the Premier League, the biggest and richest league in the world, is on the table it is fair that Bruno asks for a fair wage.

This may leave the Hammers with little to no chance of signing him if they can’t offer an increased wage.
A frustrating start to the transfer season for West Ham and Steidten.
