West Ham United plan new Jean-Clair Todibo talks after Juventus transfer update
West Ham United are planning to hold new talks with Jean-Clair Todibo’s representatives despite Juventus’ transfer interest, according to Caught Offside.
The outlet reported on its website on Friday (19 July) that the Irons intend to hold discussions with the Nice defender’s agents to try and convince him to make the move to the London Stadium.
Todibo is understood to prefer a move to Turin ahead of East London and European giants Juventus are now willing to meet Nice’s £26.9million asking price to try and get a deal over the line.
Reports have suggested that the Hammers have already managed to agree a deal with Nice for the French international, but Todibo is yet to give the move his greenlight [HITC, 17 July].
Will West Ham United sign Jean-Clair Todibo in the summer transfer window?
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten seem willing to do everything in their power to make sure that Todibo is a West Ham player by the start of next season, even though the player appears to not be interested in the move.
The Hammers boss is eager to revamp his backline and while the addition of Max Kilman is a major step in the right direction, the former Wolves skipper will not solve all of the Hammers’ defensive woes himself.
Hopefully, this final round of talks will see Todibo stop waiting for Juventus to put their money where their mouth is and finally accept a move to East London.

Steidten and Lopetegui are going to have to do all they can to sell their project to the Frenchman and even then, it may not be enough.
Until the defender puts pen to paper on a contract with the Old Lady, however, West Ham have a chance of winning his signature. It may be a slim chance, but stranger things have happened in the transfer window.
