West Ham United: Permanent Luizao transfer now on cards after January offer rejected
West Ham would consider any permanent offers for Luizao to return to Brazil after rejecting a loan offer from Atletico MG in January, according to Esporte News Mundo.
The Brazilian news outlet reported that the defender has been valued at £855,000, which would prove too high for a Brazilian side, while Sao Paulo will be owed 15% of any future fee.
However, it is understood that, with Monaco interested in a permanent deal in January, West Ham had set a £4.3million price tag, which the Ligue 1 outlet were unwilling to meet.
Luizao could leave West Ham for good this summer
A separate report from Portuguese outlet O Jogo [15 March] reported that the defender had also been subject to loan offers from Portimonense and Estrela da Amadora, but neither club could agree to take on the defender’s wages.
The defender, who is still just 22 years old, arrived at West Ham without a fee, which means any potential permanent deal would see the majority of the fee taken into the club, while 15% would be owed to his former side.
Plying his trade for the under-21 side has not been enough to put him in with a chance of pushing for a first-team place under David Moyes, and while a loan move didn’t suit the club, a permanent transfer this summer could be the way out.

Whether the fee is closer to the £850,000 reported in Brazil or the £4.3million which was reported in January, the Hammers will be seeing a profit on a player who never stamped his mark on the first team in East London.
